Ibrahim S.Yahaya

Job title: Chief Executive Officer

Ibrahim S. Yahaya has been the Chief Executive Officer of Duos -Amicus since 19 July 2019. He comes with a wealth of experience in business management and leadership, chiefly in agriculture, construction and petroleum sales and service. Before he was appointed the CEO of Duos -Amicus, he was the Vice President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, a position he earned based on his meritorious achievements as a businessman. Ibrahim’s career in agriculture started with Prograin Nigeria Limited, specialists in the procurement, aggregation and logistics of grains, where he was first appointed as the Executive Consultant. Thereafter, he leveraged his experience and went further to manage Baffa & Sons Petroleum, an Oando Service Station and was also appointed as a director in Dan Usmee Agro-Allied Ventures, and Bagal Construction Company. Ibrahim Yahaya is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Kano, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Ibrahim is married with children and enjoys playing golf, travelling and reading.

Prof. Abubakar Abdullahi Hassan

Job title: Director

Abubakar Abdullahi Hassan is a Professor of Agricultural Economics; a fellow, Institute of Policy Management Development (FIPMD). He was born in Katsina, Katsina State. He worked briefly as Credit Officer, Birni Community Bank, Zaria from August, 1993 to March, 1994 before joining the services of Ahmadu Bello University in 1994. He is the Business Development and Liaison Assistant to the Executive Director, IAR; Chairman, IAR Rangwame Co-operative Society Reviving Committee; Secretary, Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), Institute for Agricultural Research, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; the immediate past Head, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Assistant Director, Extension, Monitoring and Evaluation, Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was Undergraduate Coordinator, Postgraduate Seminar Coordinator and presently Member of the University Senate and Member of many committees in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He obtained a B. Agric. degree in 1993, M.Sc. Agric. Economics in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Agric. Economics in 2015, all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His working experience spans from Assistant Lecturer in 1994 to Professor at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2022. He has served in various capacities rendering administrative and community development services in addition to teaching and research. His research activities produced over thirty-five (35) publications in both National and International Journals of repute. He has presented several papers at various seminars, workshops and conferences. He has served as consultant to National Fadama III Project as Katsina State Fadama III Consultant in 2010; He also served as Consultant to Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the Identification of Nine (9) Agricultural Production Sites in the Three Senatorial Districts of Katsina State in 2010. He carried out a Survey of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Katsina State in 2009, sponsored by Katsina State Government, the 34 Local Government Areas of Katsina State, Service to Humanity Foundation and UNICEF. He served as Ward Returning Officer for 2019 and 2023 General Elections (Presidential, National Assembly, Gubernatorial and State Assembly), Kaduna South Local Government Area, Kaduna State. He has travelled widely to many Countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium for conferences and seminars. He has taught in the fields of Agricultural Finance, Environmental Economics, Natural Resources Management Climate Change Mitigation in Agriculture, Microeconomics, Agricultural Policy and Development Planning and Agricultural Resource-Use and Project Evaluation at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students in the University, supervised 18 MSc. and 7 PhD. candidates with 13 MSc. and 9 PhD. researches ongoing, a fellow Institute of Policy Management Development (FIPMD), Member, Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (MNAAE) and Member Agricultural Society of Nigeria (MASN).

Abubakar Yahaya Abba

Abubakar Yahaya Abba has been a director at DuosAmicus since inception. He comes with a wealth of leadership experience in agriculture, petroleum services and sales as well as engineering. Prior to his appointment as a director in Duos -Amicus The following are the companies in which he demonstrated his exemplary leadership in ensuring profitability: Rockside Farms Limited, Total Nigeria PLC (as a dealer), Gilmore engineering limited as the Public Relations Officer, Tri-systems Investment Limited as the Manager, and Prograin Solutions Limited as the Manager. Abubakar is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Kano, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
